The good working or refurbished used Turbines are sold for pennies on the dollar.
You ask how does that help you and I, Well there is a niche market in New Brunswick, Canada.
Where these smaller units can be utilized to upgrade the requirements of individual substations
located around New Brunswick.
NB Power is required by law to buy and pay 9.728 cents per kWh for energy produced under
there Embedded Generation Program.
So what are the OPPORTUNITIES?
I will use one project as an example; A10 acre parcel of land and house on the east shore of the
Province, has great winds of 9M/S (meters per second) and has been approved by NB Power
for the purchase of up to 1.25 MW at 9.728 cents per kWh.
The current owner has entered into an agreement to sell the property for $80,000.00 Cd.
The OPPORTUNITY HERE IS: A Real Estate secured investment with a fixed income from a
mortgage or lease income paid by the wind developer.
Another OPPORTUNITY IS: Purchase an acceptable Wind Turbine and sell or lease it to the
Wind Developer at a substantial quick profit or long term income from the lease.
